great!!!: This book shows how Ashleigh finally gets to fulfil her dream of riding Wonder to victory, and seeing all the doubters' mouths drop to the floor!!
a WONDERful book for anyone: If you like friendship and trust, but you absolutley love adventure, this is the book for you. There are lots of chills, like a mysterious problem with Wonder right before a big race. You will really like how Ashliegh handles problems with her life. But when Wonder's jockey gets injured, who will ride Wonder. She is really tempermental, and won't run with any other jockeys. What will they do now? This book WILL suck you up, and you won't want to give it up.
Oh,It is great!: This book is so great,I have reread it at least 10 times....no kidding! It's really cool that Ashleigh goes from Kentucky Derby groom to Breeder's Cup Classic jockey!\oYeah,I know, it's not likely in real life, but still cool!\cThough this talks about the Prekness and Belmont, the Kentucky Derby is in # 3.This book is awesome and I highly recamend it!
Love it!: This book was great. You might have to read number's one to three to understand some of it, but it's great, I'm so Glad Mr. Townsend gave half ownership of Wonder to Ashleigh, That's what was the greatest part of all! If you are interested in a determined girl saving a beautiful filly, ... then your in for a treat.
Hands down the best in the series!: I began reading the Thoroughbred series at the age of 12. I'm now 21 and stopped reading them when they started to make the transition from Cindy being the main character to Christina. The books simply became too formulaic and unrealistic (and I never did like Cindy anyway - sorry). But to this day, when I think of the Thoroughbred series this is the book I think of. Ashleigh and Wonder were the core and the heart of everything (to say nothing of the fact that they were the reason the series exists today) and this book was the culmination of their hard work and struggle. When I turned the last page and finished, I couldn't help but feel that if the series were to end there, I could let it go feeling satisfied that all was right with the world. So if you only read 4 books in the Thoroughbred series, make it the first 4 and laugh and cry along with Ashleigh, Charlie, Wonder, and family.
