a great learning tool: this book was easy to read and understand and stands alone as a great reference....a must for any massage therapists or students of massage...great diagrams and discusses massage theory indepth.....
Highly Recommended book on massage therapy: Excellent choice for the student (or practitioner)of massage therapy. Great as a reference guide to follow up on lessons formally learned in school. Very well organized and carefully explained techniques. Good use of illustrations. Very helpful bibliography for further study on every topic covered.
Excellent reference, buy this book: My study group and I found this book as a good reference for the NCETMB (National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork). It helped us to thoroughly understand massage theory. We all passed the NCBTMB the first time by the help of this book and the following which is also on amazon.com: The Ultimate Study Guide for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork: Key Review Questions and Answers (Vol 1) ISBN: 0971999643 (Vol 2) ISBN: 0971999651 (Vol 3) ISBN: 097199966X Make your life easier for the NCETMB, study with these books.
A real snore!: I bought this to review for the NCBTMB exam, but found more direct information in other materials. I thought the authors were just too wordy and not concise enough in explaining their particular modalities. Even the pictures seemed blurred and smudgy, just like the prose.
