[.ca] Twinkle's Weekend Knits: 20 Fast Designs for Fun Getaways (ISBN 0307346137)

Pretty, but not much variety:
I was really looking forward to this book, as I am still intrigued by a lot of the patterns in Big City Knits. Disappointed when I finally saw the book, however, as 11 out of the 20 patterns are scarves and hats. The remainder consists of one cardigan, two tanks, a 3/4 sleeve 'dress' and the rest are just the same pullover with different necklines. All the sweaters with sleeves are bottom-up raglan designs. Most of the projects are gauged for Twinkle's chunky wool yarn, hard to find in Canada. Sizing is the same as in the first book, only up to about a 36" for large. The general instruction section is reprinted word for word from the first book. They do seem to have cleaned up the editing this time around, so the patterns read a lot better. I guess that I'll just have to wait for some new designs to show up in Vogue...
