I'm a professional astrologer/card reader and have been for 20 years. I read this book when it first came out and slowly integrated a tiny bit of its info into my readings. Now, 15 years later, I begin every reading with "What is your date of birth?" When my client says August, 1960 and then tells me her boyfriend was born in February, 1954 I know instantly that she's a Rat and he's a Horse, two of the most incompatible signs ever to lay thier heads on the same pillow. And when Ms. Rat goes on to describe how selfish Mr. Horse is and tells me how she lays awake at night chewing her nails because he borrowed her car and her insurance bill is two days late, well. . . I can help her see that it isn't him or her, it's the connection. Because of what I've learned from this book, I know to steer her toward an easier, less stressful alliance with an equally nervous Monkey or a powerful, protective Dragon. It is nothing less than a FACT that Suzanne White SINGLE HANDEDLY popularized Chinese Astrology in America. Other authors (90% of whom made it to the bookshelf in her wake) may describe the topic in more depth, but they certainly haven't made Chinese Astrology easier to understand nor have they made it easier to apply to life. Sun Signs PLUS! (Even MORE specific!):
Instead of just covering Western Astrology and Sun Signs pertaining to the time of year you were born, this books ADDS Eastern Astrology in which it is the YEAR you were born that determines your sign. This book takes personality traits from BOTH types of Astrology and COMBINES them to give you a MORE ACURATE personality trait! Thus, two people of the same Sun Sign, who do have slightly different personalities, because they were born in different years, can be given their own more specific Astrology "Sign". It also explains how two people with differnt Sun Signs are alike in some ways because they were born in the same year. If you are like me, and don't like the books with too much hard to understand charts and technical talk that reads like some mathematic algebra formulas, you will appreciate this book, it is an easy to read and understand for everyone book, especially those of us that don't know how to draw up "star charts" and such. This book is a very simple way to find each person's combination of signs, then read the personality traits for that person.

Both Cat and Rabbit are right.:
Many people complained that the book wrongly used the Cat inplace of the Rabbit, well you are all wrong, sort of. The Chinese, Japanese and Korean have the Rabbit as one of their 12 astrological animals, but the Vietnamese, Cambodian and probably the Thai used the Cat, not the Rabbit. Remember that Suzanne White first became interested in Eastern astrology when she first met a Vietnamese sage in Paris, France in the seventies. So both the Cat and Rabbit are right.

AWESOME!!!!:
I LOVE this book!!!! Every time I pull it out, people are amazed at how uncannily accurate it is! The only ones who do not seem to agree are the ones the book depicts in a basically overall negative light... which has not covered many people in my encounters. I have had people read it and rush to get their own copy. The thing I find so uncanny is that this horoscope book is not limited to 12 category of people... it covers 144 categories and with accuracy.
