[.ca] The Peanut Butter Diet: Eat Peanut Butter Every Day and ... (ISBN 0312982240)

Effective and Tasty:A good weightlifting diet:
Monounsaturated fats..Peanut Butter simply tastes better than olive oil.. With peanut butter you get monounsaturated fat, omega 6 yes,but take some flax to balance it out, magnesium, arginine, protein ,fiber and other good things.. It tastes good has low sugar and NO trans fatty acids.. It does work at quelling the hunger a lot better than the refined carb diets that were a fad of the politically correct 80's and nineties.. Carbs take a perosn that is a "go-getter" and turns them into sedated "nice " person ,a lazier person more controllable by the establishment.. Think outside the box,go peanut butter!

Save your money:
I purchased this book, not realizing "Prevention" books had decided to move into ... publishing. If you read the disclaimer, it says this diet is controversial, etc., etc. (shorthand for someone's theory on how things COULD maybe be). Whether you decide Adkins, Sugar Busters, Smart Women series, etc., this is so far off base, I'm sending it back. I thought Prevention magazine had a little more credibility.

Make Sure That Peanut Butter is Organic!:
Anyone considering increasing the amount of peanut butter in their diet should consider that according to the book "Diet for a Poisoned Planet" by David Steinman (which was based on government studies done on our foods), peanut butter contains 183 pesticide residues, and takes the grand prize for the most pesticides of any food in the American diet. Our family loves peanut butter, but we only buy organic. It's a shame there are no warning labels on non-organic peanut butter.

Great plan:
This is a great diet that includes a good amount of monounsaturated fats that keep you feeling full and satisfied. This plan works and there are charts how to substitute the peanut butter for other monounsaturated fats and create your own meal plan. This does work and I am proof.

Can you say Omega 6?:
Doesn't this author know that peanuts are notoriously high in Omega-6 fatty acids? How can you base a book on a high omega-6 food when we already have 20 times more omega-6 than we are supposed to? This is yet another fad diet book--aren't we tired of these yet!
