Excellent Reference: In a field where sound methodology and comprehensive knowledge is absolutely critical, this collection of books is an excellent reference for anyone conducting computer forensics investigations. It is also well suited for those involved in incident response where critical analysis is required. The books can deliver to a diverse audience ranging from technical experts to relative newcomers and interns (though Brian Carrier's "File System Forensic Analysis" goes very deep into technical analysis of hard disks and file systems). Individuals trying to enter this field should take note, these authors are highly regarded and considered by many to be pioneers in computer forensics. Having been in the field for several years, I would not hesitate to reference their material in a court of law. A further note to those questioning whether they need all three books, I encourage you to read the reviews of each individual book. This is a solid collection, hand-picked, these are arguably three of the top five books you'd want for reference material. I am confident that even the most seasoned computer forensic analysts will learn a few new tricks from this material. Highly recommended!
