Displeased with a few Chapters: Some of these chapters are out of date and not useful for the radiologist in general practice. I especially disprove of the Charboneau chapters. Rumack and Wilson are excellent!
Ýt must be an Ýnitial for introduceing sonography: A resident must read this book first to learn sonografy best. Allow ý am radiologist any more it must be in my library too.
an excellent book!: If the first edition was brilhant this 2nd edition is a must in the field of diagnostic ultrasound. There is an answer of vitually any subject, all with a table with a brief resume. Fotographs are very clear and cover almost every topic. The editors may be proud of its creation, a definitive book in this ever changing and growing medical speciality.
The GOLD Standard again!!: The New England Journal of Medicine (April 9, 1998) and Mayo Clinic Proceedings (May,1998) gave this new edition the highest review (5 Stars). That's as good as it gets.
THE diagnostic ultrasound texbook: The second edition updates an already definitive textbook of diagnostic ultrasound. The contributors are all luminaries in the field, many having authored their own texts. Dr. Rumack has been able to edit the book into a comprehensive yet readable text. The liberal addition of colored texts, tables and charts greatly enhances comprehension as well as facilitate quick review at the viewbox. It is well worth the price.
