Honest and Evocative:
A sometimes embarrassingly honest account of his years in a junior seminary in the Midlands, UK. It is an excellent book, but unecessarily detailed about the trials of sexual awakening. I've noticed this in other Cornwell books. He seems to still have his personal demons about sexuality - resulting in this overly detailed accounting - to the point of self indulgence. Nevertheless, a superb account of a lost time in England, a time when religion was still respected - how quickly that has all been abandoned.
