Health and hope for everyone!: I hope everyone who's struggling with diabetes or a weight problem will buy this book. I went through the program at LCA in Oklahoma, and although I don't have diabetes, my health and lifestyle has changed for the better in so many ways. I watched as people in wheelchairs literally walked out the door at the end of the program, many having stopped or lowered medications. I lost 45 pounds, have so much more energy, and can look forward to a longer, more enjoyable life because I've learned how to take care of myself, body, mind and spirit. If you're feeling hopeless, this is the book for you! Go for it! You can take control! :)
PLANT-BASED NUTRITION RULES!: Or at least it will, in the very near future. Not to take away anything from the other lifestyle changes this book recommends, but for the most part we're doing this to ourselves with the food on our plates. When enough baby-boomers figure it out, things will change. I'm convinced that food poisoning is the number one threat to the survival of our healthcare system, and I am thankful for the relatively few people who are actually doing something about it. If you believe like me, that a grass-roots movement is the only way our healthcare system can survive, buy and read some of the other books I've reviewed on amazon.ca. Especially "The China Study", "Eat To Live", and "Healthy At 100". Also, the 2005 and 2006 Vegsource ( Vegsource.com ) DVD's are really worth the purchase price, and for an extra $30.00 you might as well get the ones from 2007.
