Perfect for Open House!:
These posters work great if used in conjunction with open house. Kids love filling them out and parents love reading their child's. A wonderful writing prompt!
A great way to start the school year!:
Last year I had my students make a "Read All About Me" poster during the first week of school. We put them up on the walls for parents to see at Back To School Night. The trick that worked with my 2nd graders is to have them do one or two sections a day. We do each section together, and stress the importance of correct spelling. When done slowly, this is not overwhelming for the kids. At the end of the year, most of the children reported that they still have their posters from the beginning of the year!
Great but small:
These posters are wonderful bulletin board displays and the students love to write in them. The main problem is that there isn't enough room for some students to write about their stories and especially book reviews. Parents and principals have praised the posters!
