I just completed a three day course with Marty with his text as the outline. Absolutely helpful! Training in controlled substance analysis often only includes pattern recognition for comparison of unknown samples to standards. The information in this book will get you well on your way to recognizing what is going on in the spectra you already know and will help provide information when no standard matches.
