On The Road Again: Always a pleasure to pick-up a copy of the latest Rand McNally Road Atlas. This is the first time that I have purchased one with the accompanying travel guide. The ring binder feature is good, saving on what can lead to a cracked spine, rendering your atlas into individual pages falling away from your very hands. Not in this case. Everything stays put and organized. Some of the Canadian provinces are not as up-to-date as the road maps for the American states. There were a few things I checked, especially with regards to the province of New Brunswick. The near completion of the newly twinned Trans Canada Highway from Quebec to Nova Scotia. The legend that indicates the limited access highway, doesn't show sections opened over a year ago; still shows the old red line (2/3 lane highway). Perhaps the 2009 version will have this updated. Not a deterent by any means. Rand McNally is and always will be my first North American road atlas of choice.
