What makes you cough, sneeze, burp, hiccup, blink, yawn, swe: All of these common bodily actions are involuntary, but necessary. The human body is designed to cough, sneeze, burp, etc. as it needs to help the body function better. The author explains why a person performs each action and what is happening inside the body when the aciton occurs. The illustrations help the reader identify what is happening when these bodily actions take place. This text is not enough for most reports but would stimulate the reader to read further and the author has anticipated this by including additional books, organizations, and web sites. The web sites checked out and gave helpful information. Students in grades 2 -5 should be able to enjoy and learn from this text.
