Oddly enough, one of Kristy's best.: This was, strangely enough, one of the better Kristy books. (Most of the Kristy's are pretty good, actually.) This one stands out for her courage near the end in standing up to someone most people would never stand up to.
Kristy at Bat: Even though I am outgrowing the series I still like to read them now and then.Kristy at Bat was about Kristy not getting on the first string girl's baseball team and instead becoming a second string player.Kristy was really looking forward to a father-daughter week at Bill Bain's Dream Camp(a baseball camp)but since she heard the news she's not sure she wants to play baseball anymore and that camp is going to be one big nightmare. But although the back suggests this is all the book is focusing on,it also focuses on the fact that Watson's hero Bill Bain is running the camp and Watson is really looking forward to meeting him.But when he gets there Bill Bain never turns up around the camps games and practices(which he's supposed to) and this puts a downer on Watson as well. Kristy is a very assertive character and doesn't hesitate to tell people what she thinks about them. This quality helps to confront Bill Bain but will he take notice of a thirteen year old girl? And will Kristy decide that playing baseball is better than not at all? This book is suitable for all ages and it sends out a very strong message. All the BSC books are good and this one is too. If it sounds good go out now and hunt down a copy! Happy Reading!!
A great book; one of Kristy's best: When Kristy trys out for the softball team at SMS and only makes second string, to say the least she thinks that there is some kind of mistake. But there isn't. So she isn't that excited about heading to Bill Bains Dream baseball camp with Watson, Bill Bains #1 fan. But she goes and improves as a player, meets a new friend, meets famous baseball players, and even tells off the baseball legend Bill Bain. while at home David michael is having trouble with his baseball-card collection.
A all-star book!: Kristy gets to go to Bill Bain's Dream camp for a week during spring break with her stepfather, Watson. It's a program led by famous major league stars! But there's one problem in this dream vacation for Kristy. Right before she leaves she finds out that she's been demoted to second string on the Stoneybrook Middle School softball team. Now she's postative she doesn't want to go to camp. Kristy in the ends solves her problem but I won't spoil the ending for you! It's a great book so read it!
