A Refreshing Read: The hounds of Salisbury is a good book. It takes the reader back in time to the age of the Celts and shows how they survived in their brutal age. The main character Morgan and his friends who strangely find them selfs in the age of ancient Britannica and are brought into a tribe that sees them as the chosen ones who are to save them from a ruthless Celt warlord and his massive armies bent on conquering the Northern tribes. This book is easy to read and is very enjoyable to read.
Terrific story for all ages: The Hounds of Salisbury is a riveting tale of an ordinary teenage boy, struggling with insecurities and self-doubt, who, along with a group of friends, is magically transported back in time to face the biggest challenge of his life. Along the way, he finds the self-confidence and courage from within to rise to be a leader. I was tremendously impressed with this young author who has written a detailed history lesson and disguised it with an entertaining and exhilarating tale of adventure. Attention to detail is what distinguishes good historical fiction. The Hounds of Salisbury is choked full of interesting facts and details of what life would have been like for the people of ancient Britain. It would make a terrific movie!
