Two Mad Murderers, or One Killer?: As a person who works and researches in the field of forensic linguistics, authorship attribution, I am totally impressed with the work that Doug Oswell has put into this book. This is a monstorous project, with much of it going into areas that linguists avoid. But when he does get into language comparison, his arguments support his hypothesis. This is a relatively easy read for individuals interested in arm chair investigation. It is not about the Zodiac crimes, as such, but rather about a comparison of time, place, letters, psychology, motivation, method, of two murderers and the likelihood that it might be one killer. This is your CSI stuff, but not dumbed down for television mass consumption. This book will appeal to open-minded individuals who like a good mystery.
