Fluffy stuff and poorly written: I did enjoy this sequel although it is in no way a sequel to the book Pride and Prejudice but rather to the disappointing 2005 version of the movie which altered so many details from the original novel that it was not a great film--specially when one compares it to the BBC version with Colin Firth. So, this is a sequel to a slightly inaccurate film portrayal of the beloved book. In that, it is moderately successful; BUT, it is literally riddled with MAJOR grammatical errors which would hvae made Jane Austen quite upset. The most irritating error is the frequent and incorrect use of plurals and possessives. Surely an editor would catch the chapter title "Meeting the Matlock's" but it may be that the novel was self-published. There are countless other errors which will annoy any true Austen fan. Moreover, the author makes no attempt to stay true to the language of the period and her dialogue is usually romantic tripe. Having said that, I still thought the story line was compelling enough to read the entire book but if you are looking for a sexy sequel to P & P, try Mr. Darcy takes a Wife. The best sequels however are the ones by Carrie Bebris.
Pure Genius!: I read a lot of Pride and Prejudice sequels and this one is my favorite! It's sexy and incredibly touching and funny at the same time. I smiled a lot reading this book. Oh and yeah... it's very sexy(again)! If you like the 2005 movie with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen, believe me you must buy this novel! It's exactly how you can imagine there life would be. The minute I finished it, I wanted to read it all over again. This story was like a ray of sunshine in my life. And the good news is there will be two sequels to this book! Can't wait!
