Amazing history of the intermodal shipping container:
I am a little too young to recall the old way of shipping goods by breakbulk, so was amazed to read the book and discover the painstaking process of loading and unloading ships, boxcars and trucks. The efforts unions went to to remain inefficient!?! It seems so obvious now that it was a huge was of human capital, but amazingly it took a lot of effort to get containers to take off. This book is mostly a business success story, but it also has elements of history and economics.
