Excellent:
The recipes in this book are tasty, healthy, and easy to follow. It provides a well-balanced look at food and recipes for all courses, many of which are suitable for entertaining. Unlike some specialty-diet recipes, the food in this book is not at all dull or tasteless. I am enjoying trying new things from it all the time. Some of the recipes I have especially enjoyed include "Avocado and Fresh Salmon Corn Meal Pancakes", "Coconut Rice Moulds with Passion Fruit Sauce", "Stem Ginger cookies", "Quick Seafood Soup and Rouille" and "Cucumber, Coconut and Lime Soup". My reason for giving it four stars instead of five is simply that I think the title is misleading. I have Celiac Disease and am lactose intolerant, so gluten and dairy free eating is a must for me. When I bought this book I did so believing that all recipes would be gluten and dairy free, which is not the case. Though it's true that the recipes can be adapted to suit a gluten/dairy free diet, I feel I do enough adapting with non-specialty cookbooks and would prefer not to have to do that. Isn't that the point of buying a specialty cookbook, to just be able to cook everything in it without worry? Aside from that gripe, I think this is a wonderful book and certainly recommend it. The meals are enjoyable to even those without food sensitivities, and no one need feel deprived when eating them. The photographs in the book are very good too.

In reply to the review from the reader from the Netherlands: All of the recipes are wheat free and most are also gluten and dairy free There are about 25 recipes (from over 220) that are indicated as being wheat, rather than gluten free, but these can easily be adapted to gluten free by changing the type of flour or pasta used. About 15 recipes contain dairy products Less than 35% of the recipes in the book are for warm or cold desserts, most of which are recipes that people on gluten, wheat or dairy free diets could not normally eat Here are three press reviews: The Sunday Times Magazine "A cookbook with such mouthwatering wheat-, dairy- and gluten-free recipes, that your dinner guests will never know the difference." Excellent:
If you like good food, but can't eat wheat or dairy, this book is an absolute must. I use it all the time - even my non-allergic friends enjoy the recipes they are so good
