Excellent resource: This book is an excellent resource for those interested in self-sufficiency or those who just want to beat the rising costs of oil and gas. The book breaks down the facts and knowledge needed to make alcohol fuel into simple and easy to understand language. The basics of alcohol fuel production are laid out and the details of building your own still are included. Even if you are not interested in producing your own alcohol fuel, but are interested in learning more about ethanol and alcohol based fuels, this book provides you with the facts needed to understand this growing market.
A NEW LOOK AT AN OLD SOLUTION: This is the most recent book I have read on the benefits of using pure alochol at automotive fuel since the glut of books that came out in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Lynn Doxon was involved during that period of time in promoting alcohol as fuel. For some "unknown" reason, all the excitement about running autos, trucks, and engines on alcohol was "hushed." Another book that actually shows photos on how to convert a car engine to run on pure alcohol (and I mean no gasoline), is "Forget The Gas Pumps--Make Your Own Fuel" by Jim Wortham & Barbara Whitener. Wortham actually applied for and received a permit to legally distill alcohol for experimental fuel. He put his application at the end of the book.
