All packaging, not much substance: I'm a big fan of the book "What to expect when you're expecting" and I expected this calendar to be as full of information as the book. It wasn't. I supposed it's nice to look at the calendar and tell instantly what week you're in, but the recipes, helpful hints, and places to write your memories are pretty insubstantial. The copy I bought had a slip cover and a big piece of cardboard filler in the middle, making it look bigger than it is. Keep your regular calendar to chart progress and doctor's visits, and start a pregnancy journal if you *really* want to keep track of what's going on. You'll be much more satisfied.
Great for the person who doesn't journal: I bought this calendar when I was pregnant with my first child. I knew I wasn't a consistent journal writer and wanted something that I could write a few things on. I was able to jot down our doctor appointments (including heartbeat, weight gain and more), purchases we made for baby and more. I went into premature labor at 33 weeks and took this calendar with me to the hospital. I recorded a ton of stuff in those little squares regarding our little one's health and progress. I am currently pregnant with our second child and am going to purchase it for this pregnancy as well.
