A great start:
This book is very useful because it's plenty of hints that makes sit-on-top kayaking more enjoyable. Starting from how to select the right kayak and paddle, and the essential accesories, the author provides the right information with concrete examples. It's very interesting and valuable the "segmentation" done by the author when he explains how to use kayaks for diving, touring, fishing, etc. Safety information is very good too. The chapter "basic paddling strokes" is good, and has good pictures, but lacks of graphics or diagrams that would make the explanation easier to understand (that's why I rated it as a "4 stars" book).
