Third book in a great series:
"Towards the Sunrise" is the third book in the "Daughters of Fortune" series by Judith Pella, and this was Great! This book focus on the youngest of Keagan Hayes daughters Jackie, and her struggles in her marriage of Japanese-American during World War 2. This is not to say that sisters Cameron and Blair stories are left alone. Ms. Pella still does an excellent job in showing their lives and their discovery of religion. This book is a great read for anyone who enjoys book that are set during war-time or any fan of Ms. Pella.

Another Great Book!:
I have gotta say I loved the entire Daughters of Fortune series. This one has a much sadder tone to it than the other 2 books but it's still is great. The only thing I hate is that I have to wait until Spring of 2005 for the next one to come out! I don't think I can take the suspense! The book shows a great deal of the characters reflecting on all the the events that happened during the war. From Blair's fight for survival in the Phillipines, Cameron's dilemmas with the Soviet government and her Russian doctor, and Jackie's struggles against racism because of her Japanese husband. I loved this book so much!I would recommend it to anyone who loves books about World War II.
