[.ca] Cosmopolitan Girls: A Novel (ISBN 0767915674)

Sex In The City Flare:
I love it when two women come together and support each other through various obstacles in their lives and succeed. This is the story when two New York City girls, Charlie Thornton and Lindsey Bradley, happen to meet for the first time in a bar and instant and wonderful friendship is born over a couple of drinks. Charlie who is a copywriter from Buffalo, New York, and Lindsey, an aspiring television producer from St. Louis who left to shine on her own and not be under shadow of her famous mother. Both women are in bad relationships; Charlie lives with her man and he is having affairs and throwing them in her face. Lindsey on the other hand is in love with a video producer who is nothing but a playboy. With strength from each other they began to take charge of not only their personal but professional lives as well. This was a great read, a wonderful story with a Sex in the City flare.

Just what I needed:
This book was given to me and I didn't know what is was about. It turned out to be about my life. Couldn't put it down. It's like they were talking to me. Thanks girls.

Great Book!!!:
I loved this book!! I finished it in only two days, it was amazing how two complete strangers became friends who supported each other through happy and sad.If you have been in a bad relationship this book will sing to you.

Girl Power:
Cosmopolitan Girls is all about girl power. The story of Charlie and Lindsay unfold separately chapter by chapter and then they meet in a trendy Hew York bar and become friends. They bond over issues in their relationships, their careers, and their own complete happiness. From that point on they are inseparable and go through high times and low times, never failing to be there for each other, like true girlfriends. Reviewed by Aiesha Of the Detroit-RAWSISTAZ

Cosmopolitan Girls: Sex, the City and African American Women:
This book has gotten a lot of mixed reviews, but I REALLY enjoyed it. It is truly a story that is meant to uplift and remind us women that we are worth so much more than most of us give ourselves credit. "Cosmopolitan Girls", is pretty much the diaries of Lindsay and Charlie. Two small-town girls living successfully in the Big Apple. Lindsay is a Television Exec who has dreams of becoming a Producer. She is dating an accomplished video director who she thinks is "the one". Charlie on the other hand is living with her fiance and his two kids from a previous relationship. A broken heart and unfaithfulness brings these two women together one day at a club. Both of them think that the other one has it good, but they are so much more alike than they think. Together the two build an unyielding friendship and help each other out in ways that real friends should. I didn't expect to get all that I did out of "Cosmopolitan Girls". So many lessons can be learned. It is more than just a fiction novel. This is a book that will make you feel proud to be a woman.
