Wild Cameron Women very empowering:
Empowering is such a politically correct word, but this book about being brave in the face of fear, as one's foremothers were, is adorable, witty, and empowering. As as adult I liked it, and my daughter liked it. Would make a great present for any young girl. Great illustrations, too.
