Valuable Resource for Students and Busy Clinicians:

The fourth edition of their best selling book Reading Research is easy to read, packed with updated information and provides practical tips. An added bonus is the associated web site. Reasonably priced, this book is a must buy for all health care students as a supplemental research textbook. The book is an equally valuable resource for busy clinicians who want to refresh their competencies in critiquing research.

As someone focused on practice development, the User-Friendly Guide has been a staple in my collection for years. It provides a wonderful introduction for practitioners, students and others to reading research so that it may be evaluated for use in practice. The examples are practical and with each edition, the User Friendly Guide just keep getting better! Kudos to Barb Davies and Jo Logan for continuing to update and improve this little gem.
