Remembering the Anne of my youth...:
I was first introduced to Anne at the knee of both my grandmother & mother, with them reading Anne of Green Gables aloud. Being dyslexic, I have always enjoyed being read to rather than reading -- however, had trouble finding unabridged versions of beloved books. I find that I forgot some of Anne's scrapes (clouded by the movie version of events!) & have fallen in love with this marvelously crafted character all over again. I only hope that more people purchase the first three audio CDs (yes, Anne of Avonlea & Anne of the Island too), so that Amazon will make available the rest of the unabridged versions from the publisher.
