[.ca] Shakespeare's Secret (ISBN 0786287357)

The Shakespeare's Seacret:
Do you like books that are suspenseful? Do you like books that are mysterious? Listen to this because this is a book you won't want to put down! This is a story of a girl named Hero. She has just moved to a new town in a new school. Beatrice (her older sister) made friends but she didn't. Until she meets her neighbour, she will soon find out the legend of her house and the necklace that has never been seen in 15 years. This book is a wonderful mystery, but it maybe too old for 6 year olds and under, but it is perfect for everyone else. My mom even enjoys it. You will never want to put it down. Why is it so good? Well, it is good because of the way that Elise Broach writes it. She uses all these juicy descriptive words that give you so much feeling inside that it might even spark a story! She puts so many problems and questions. At every end of a chapter there's a cliff hanger. You will be reading under your bed covers shivering, crying, and screaming with all the emotions. There are many different types of genre, characters, and emotions. The most common genre is mystery but there is also historical fiction, and fantasy! The key themes are friend ship because she has problems with that at school, love because she has a crush on a boy in her class, bravery because she has to sneak into a lot of places, and loyalty because she can't tern on people at the last minute. One of the reasons why this book is historical fiction is because part of the story is about the fact that Hero's Dad's Company is searching to find out if Shakespeare is real if not who is the real Shakespeare. After the first day of school she meets a boy named Danny Cordova who helps hero in her adventures to find the fifteen carat diamond that lays in the property of her house. I'm not allowed to give away the story so I am just going to tell you a bit of the story. First of all the main characters in the story are the neighbour Danny, Hero, Beatrice, and her father are all main characters. Danny is a main character because he helps Hero with her quest. Beatrice is a main character because she helps hero and her "school popularity confidence". Her neighbour, (the old woman), is a main character because she is the key to her quest and she holds the friendship between the close and the necklace that is the only reason it started. And her dad is a main character because his job is relevant to the story and is the reason for the title of the book. This book is a thriller and suspenseful book. Elise Broach writes like Lois Lowry. If you are a fan of authors such as Kate Dicamillo, Lois Lowry and Christopher Paolini then you are going to love this book. It is a sensational book that will make you want to read until 12:00am under your blankets using a flashlight! This book is on your "got to rent out of the library" list or you're got to buy list.
