A CSI can't be shy: Never mind reading this book if you love only love CSI on tv. As the author says herself many times, the REAL thing is different. Read this book if you can handle brain matter dropping off the ceiling after a shotgun suicide; if you aren't squeamish about fatal fetishes; if you want in depth information about bodily fluids and odors during decay. This is real, gross, dirty crime scene investigation presented by a seasoned investigator. Dana Kollmann's account of ten years as a CSI is very open, sometimes crude but also frequently hilarious. The author's character is as interesting as the stories she tells. How can a woman who hates vomit and is scared of spiders handle the situations she does on the job?
