A Perfect Start:
I got this kit for Christmas this year, and it is fantastic if you're new to embroidery and want to see if you like it before buying other books and supplies. The booklet is thin and very basic, but enough to get you started. I had never embroidered before, and now I don't have to keep refering to pages to figure out how to do a stitch. There are plenty of patterns, and they are fun and useful. My needle did break rather quickly, but I've also broken another one since then so it may just be me! If you like this, I STRONGLY reccomend Jenny Hart's book Sumblime Stitching, which has very clear diagrams of all the stitches, plus a huge assortment of reuseable patterns.
