Nicest reference Bible I've seen: The New Living Translation, I've found, is the most accessible, but still dignified, English translation of the Bible. This "complete reference bible" has the references on the outer page edges instead of in a centre column, so the pages aren't cluttered, and alternate-translation words and terms are footnoted on the bottom of each page. Each book of the Bible is succinctly introduced. This 2003 edition (ISBN 0-8423-7581-3) has bonded black leather binding, with gold page-edges, and two ribbon markers. Words of Christ are in red. It also has a 175-page combined dictionary/ concordance at the back, and a handy 32-page verse finder at the front. Pages are a high-quality opaque paper. All-in-all, a very, very nice edition, printed in South Korea.
