Practical experience speaks: An excellent book... well written, clearly puts the various facets of induction heating in full perspective - Touches upon details like short cycle induction tempering, with the metallurgical implications - I found this to be a very interesting chapter. Defect analysis, quenchants, microstuctures, residual stresses, various cycles and control plans are covered in detail. Lovely photographs of various coil designs and shapes. A reading must for practising engineers and metallurgists. I would definitely recommend it over other books in this field, especially for those who are looking at replacing conventional heat treatment with the induction process.
Practical Induction Heat Treating: I found this book to be very informative. Written for the shop floor personnel who works in induction field of heat treatment of steel. It was also helpful in giving useful data that we use in our company. It will be another tool for those in this field or needing a working knowedge of induction heating.
