Excellent recipes, outstanding history book!:
I am learning a great deal about my country as I am creating absolutely delicious food from the easy to follow recipes from this gold mine of a book. The many photographs of the finished recipes are very helpful in knowing what a food should look like if one is unfamiliar with a particular dish. A fascinating read filled with the recounting of a rich and thought-provoking history that is not taught in typical Canadian school rooms. I'm very thankful for this beautiful treasure. "Arab Cooking on a Saskatchewan Homestead" has the most outstanding index of any book -- cookbook or otherwise -- I have ever seen!
