lack of academic freedom: This excellent book, although mostly about the American Kitzmiller vs. Dover case on Intelligent Design (ID) decided by Judge Jones recently, covers the intolerance that Darwin skeptics are now experiencing in academia. I find it of interest that all of the cases cited in this book are in the States, and none are in Canada. For example, the book discusses the case of Chemist Dr. Nancy Bryson at Mississippi University, that of Mathematician Dr William Dembski at Baylor University, and Biology professor Dr Carline Crocker at George Mason University on page 51. Other cases are discussed on page 49-50 and elsewhere. Yet in Canada ID has been discussed in a presentation at the University of Toronto without incident. The University of Toronto does not seem to be an exception. I have family and friends that have graduate degrees from there, so I am both familiar with the school and favorably disposed toward it. This book documents that Darwinists are aggressively suppressing any criticism of orthodox Darwinism, and this movement may spread to Canada. This lack of academic freedom in the states will be of interest and a warning to all Canadians. This case should be a lesson to all and, for this reason, this book is must reading for all Canadians.
