Great for newer teachers:
I borrowed this book through our board of ed's professional reading group. It (unlike so many starting out teacher books) actually spells out in simple straight forward ways how to open a classroom successfully. After teacher's college you think you are ready.... but this book details (and lists) the behaviours/routines/consequences/rewards that you must plan for. I put so many stick it notes in the borrowed book I figured I might as well buy it! To bad they didnt make this the text for one of our organization and management classes!
