THIS IS A GREAT BOOK!:
Hey, everyone! I have to tell you that this book is so good. I've already read it three times! lol! It's so good! If you love VC Andrews you will definately love this book, I promise you. When I first read it, I kept forgetting that VC Andrews didn't write this book. I had to keep reminding myself that Barathy wrote this. It's so good. Please read it! You won't be dissapointed! I promise!

Stunning Debut Novel!:
A stunning and powerful debut novel, startlingly original, and deeply moving. The reader enters the imaginative world of Annabelle; her journey is gripping, sad, and a page-turning adventure of a young heroine coping with death, unhappiness, love, and hard lessons to be learned. Annabelle is the freshest, most engrossing character to appear in recent literature...a true work of art!

Haunting and Beautiful!:
Annabelle is an entertaining read, and it is more like a VC Andrews's novel, than you'll ever find. This story is filled with twists and turns with many secrets and haunting atmosphere. And through it all, we deal with one courageous young woman growing up and dealing with her own feelings of inadequacy, anguish, and sexuality. The narrative and feelings are all very realistic, and as I read this story; I could almost feel Annabelle's own heartache. The characters are all believable. And the things poor Annabelle ends up enduring, are too hauntingly real. I have to admit, the ending makes this story so sad. If you're looking for an enjoyable, yet poignant read, then pick up this book. If you're looking for a love story that will keep you turning pages to discover what will happen next, than this is definitely the story for you.

A Great Book!:
Annabelle Nicholas is a young girl getting ready for the sixth grade when her best friend takes her out into the pouring rain to meet a gorgeous boy, Stephen Jay White. Although she would never admit it to her friend she does agree that this boy is something special. She felt it the first moment she looked into his hazel eyes. However, when school starts there are sparks flying between her and Stephen but not the kind of sparks she wants. He seems to bring out the worst in her. She has never competed in her entire life but for some reason she feels driven to do better than him in their school work. Annabelle has grown up with the loving care of her Grandfather after having her mother die giving birth to her and her father ran off not being able to deal with her mother's death. The summer before her seventh grade year her Grandfather dies and this leaves Annabelle lost and confused. It isn't long before she is given into Foster care and learns that the world isn't always fair. After going through quite an ordeal there, she soon learns she has a long lost Aunt who has adopted her. Now Annabelle must leave the only town and friends she knows to live with her Aunt. Even though a lot has happened to Annabelle she has never forgotten Stephen. Still she looks for him every time she returns to Rockford. One of those times she sees him kissing another girl, and it makes her have feelings she doesn't like. When things finally seem to start working out for her after the eighth grade, Fate will once again throw another loophole towards her. How will she cope with the new changes coming? Annabelle's innocence is amazing. She comes from a sheltered life with a loving Grandfather, and the lessons she learns after his death are hard. This time of puberty for a girl is one of confusion and heartache, but when you have no one to turn to; it can be a most trying time. Annabelle is a beautiful young lady with strong character. Annabelle by Barathy Nadarajah is an excellent story. This reviewer felt drawn into the life of young Annabelle. She is a character who you will grow to love. The events that happen to her between the summer before sixth grade until the summer after eighth grade leave the reader wanting more. Barathy Nadarajah is an excellent storyteller. She makes her readers feel what Annabelle is going through. Reviewed by: JoAnn 5 stars Fallen Angel Reviews
