An exquisite read!:
Gavrael and Gillian. This is, amongst the 7 Moning books I've read so far, her only female character that isn't American. I was delighted to discover her. Moning builds such strong male and female characters one wishes to become more like them. This tale is wonderful and full of magical moments. Again Moning delighted me with her descriptions of places, people and of breathtaking love scenes and profound love sentiments between her main characters. Well done.

Wonderful New Author for Me:
I was hesitant to reading Moning because I had heard such good things and part of me just did not feel like being let down, but since the book was only $3.99, I said lets give it a try. I am glad i did, this was a magnificent book, the story line, the characters, the emotions. My only small problem was that it took so long for him to find out the truth, when he knew himself that it could never happen to him. But the passionate emotion of the main characters was just true love. I will defintely read the rest of her books.

Une déception...:
A voir la cote de ce livre, je m'attendais à beaucoup plus. A franchement parlé, il s'y passe pratiquement rien avant le milieu du livre!! C'est hyper lent comme début, "comme il est beau, comme elle est belle" pourrait facilement le résumer. A éviter. Je donne 2 étoiles en raison de la fin (épilogue) qui, peut-être, est bonne, sans plus.

The Mysterious Berserker:
Karen Marie Moning is a write to make any woman swoon. He historical time traveling tales are breath taking...just like her men. I will say this, as a simple piece of advice, DON'T read all of her books back to back. It is a series, but it isn't. You DO NOT have to read them in any kind of order. However, if you read them back to back, the stories are VERY similar with slightly different twist and they may seem a bit redundant. Grimm and Jillian are quite the pair. Grimm is a Berserker with a past that haunts him dearly. Jillian is as bull headed as him but she is the one who found Grimm as a child and helped give him a "normal" life. Where their feelings for each other are concerned, both are bull-headed. Hard to get, on both sides, is putting it mildly. Pretty much a Beauty and the Beast plot. I think that gives enough away right there. Story wise, this was my favorite. Made me want to really read more on Berserker's...and fine ice blue eyes. Man wise...NOT EVEN CLOSE! Excellent story. Strong characters. And leaves you wanting to know more. DEFINITELY READ THE OTHERS!!!

Powerful and intense story!:
I really love Karen Marie Moning's storytelling and this is a splendid tale. It has intrigue, mystical elements and tres hot romance. I have to admit, Grimm & Jillian are not as well developed as the main characters in the other Moning books I've read. I enjoyed the book, but it isn't quite the magic of her other books.
