Jane Cicchetti's wonderfully and clearly written book gives us a profound framework for us to continue to grow and explore the topic of psyche and soma. It is ideally useful for those practicing homeopathy, but equally interesting for those who are interested in the frontiers of mind-body medicine. To Ccchetti "dreams are the doorway to the symbolic realm of the psyche, a powerful force undelying human consciousness (p.5.)" She convincingly describes the need for a synthesis betwen the realm of science and rational thinking and the world of dreams and symbols; a synthesis that calls for us to accept the paradoxes of life. She writes: "Working with dreams requires that we monentarily lead ourselvers into the relam pregnant with new ideas.
