rekindling horrible memories in Northern Kentucky: This is the first book I have seen that encapsulates the entire history of the Beverly, as well as the fire itself. As a kid in Cincinnati at the time, I still remember reading the Cincinnati Enquirer in the days after the fire, reading the list of dead. The book is a must-read for anyone from Cincinnati and Northern KY; the fire was a pivotal moment in the area's history
In memory of my 3rd grade Teacher - Mrs Paula Neill: The memeory of my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs Paula Neill, inspired me to research this tradegy and, in the end, find and read this book. I can still remember the day that I found out she had died.....i was only 8 years old at the time, a 3rd grader at Taylor Mill Elementary, and it really affected me. She was one of the most compassionate and dedicated teachers I have ever known. She made me realize that there was nothing out of my reach nor anthing that I couldn't achieve if I just put my mind to it. Today I credit her with my success....
In An Age of Glitz and Glamour!: This live account of a terrible story should serve to remind us why we have inspections and why politicians need to stay out of the inspector's way! I bought my copy direct from the author and he signed it for me. To meet him and know his experience is a life changing event
A precise account of the Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire: This book is a must read for those of us that never really knew the exact time line of events that happened before, during and after the fire. Wayne Dammert, mythotically takes you through the truth and occurrences of the fire. This book answered a lot of mysteries I had about my parents who perished in the fire. Thank you Wayne for all your tenacious work to keep our loved ones memories alive. K.M. Brown
A Fitting Memorial: I was very happy when I discovered that this book had been written. My mother lost a good friend in this fire, and I appreciate the fact that Mr. Dammert included the names of all those lost in his book. I did find myself skipping over some of the history of the Supper Club itself, but the story of the fire is compelling and sobering. For those of us who remember that night, it is a reminder of just how horrible it all was. There are individual stories of heroes and victims and it is a book that I will keep in my library forever. Thank you.
