A Wonderful, Insightful & Inspiring Book!:
I discovered Earth Spirit Living one night at a bookstore in northern CA where the author happened to be speaking. I overheard her describing house cleaning as a metaphor for self-care, how little messes grow if allowed to sit and how nature gives us messages all the time through encounters with birds and other wild animals, sudden gentle breezes, etc. I slipped into the back of the room to hear more. 45 minutes later I was intrigued enough to buy the book and bring it back to our hotel room. I was fascinated and couldn't put it down. I finished it within two days, and LOVED it! Then I brought it home to Boston and loaned it to a friend who is planning some renovation at her home located in a wonderfully wooded setting. I also enthusiastically recommended it to my sister in Miami, two other local friends and to my financial advisor in Minnesota. My husband and I were visiting CA to investigate whether it made sense to move there. This book is a comfort and inspiration that we will be able to find a "good" place to live - even if there are fewer trees than I am used to.
