Excellent Story of "fairy tale" romance: American sports reporter Miranda Penney can't stop herself falling in love with Welsh rocker Lucas Fletcher, but the emotional scars she bears from having been betrayed by a past celebrity boyfriend throw a wrench into the works as Lucas tries to win Miranda's heart. Author Crystal Hubbard has written a spicy but sweet romance that takes us readers on the inside of a celebrity relationship. Lucas meets Miranda when he rescues her from the crush of the crowd at a concert in Boston, Massachusetts, and then he has her brought to his castle in Wales for a dinner date that turns out to be much more than a mere date. When the story picks up again in Boston, many of the city's unusual qualities make it almost like a third major character in the story. Lucas and Miranda's relationship unfolds beautifully, with all the warmth, humor and attention to detail that Hubbard has shown in her previous books. Especially enjoyable were the scenes with Miranda and her sister discussing the sister's upcoming marriage and where Miranda reveals a big secret to Lucas. If you enjoy contemporary fairy tale romance, you'll enjoy Crush.
Amazing Story of Love, Romance, Writing and Music: Mrs. Hubbard really knows her stuff and shows it off in this book about an American sports reporter who has a hard time letting herself fall in love with Welsh rock star Lucas Fletcher. This book has amazing love scenes, very great dialogue, and it actually makes American sports interesting. Miranda's a darling heroine, not your typical whiny, mopey female and Luke is a wonderful leading man. He's the first fictional romantic lead I've actually dreamt about after reading a book! Crush is a really good read and I can't wait for the next from this author.
