UE adaptation horrible: The adaptation of the first movie (Underworld) is fantastic. The artwork is beautiful, although a some frames are a too dark. Every moment of the movie is captured, as is the emotional intensity of the scenes. The adaptation of the second movie, however, is probably the worst comic book adaptation of a movie that has ever been produced. The artwork is aweful. The characters are almost unrecognizable, even Michael and Selene. Parts of the story are missing. Characters appear and, unless you've seen the movie, you have no idea who they are or why they are there. Another 4 pages (i.e., one sheet of paper) would have made this much better. They should have kept the artist who drew the first movie's adaptation. They obviously cheaped out on this book and it looks like they rushed it through production, too. The other story "Red of Tooth and Claw" is intersting. It relates the origin of the werewolf Raze. The artwork is ok. This story was included in the original printing of the graphic novel for the first movie. Buy the original graphic novel for the first movie if you can. If it's not available, this version's worth buying just to get the original movie and "Red of Tooth and Claw".
