A satisfactory review of England's international football:
"England Expects" is a reasonable look back on the history of England's various international footballing forays. As might be expected, extra attention is paid to the 1966 World Cup winning team as well as to the modern era of footballers, especially under Sven. Nothing particularly new or revolutionary is revealed and perhaps a little too much time is spent dwelling on what happened in virtually every game England has played in the last hundred years. However, it is, on the whole, a good review of England's international footballing history and a decent addition to most libraries.
