Incredibly detailed book:
This is the best book to twin the Anthology Book. You can get your PhD in Beatle Arts, studying this bible. However, I rated it just 4 stars because the cover portrait says "The Complete Beatles Chronicle" and the picture below makes you think they were a duet (John & Paul). This is a huge and annoying mistake.

A great book, an expert author, but...:
Mark Lewishon's books on the Beatles are THE books you have to read if you want to know everything technical concerning the band. This copy of the "Complete Chronicles" is a reissue made in 2006. I remember seing the original twelve years ago: thick and heavy as the price was! This one is much more lighter, glossy paper and all but I thought the pictures printed in it were a bit too dark sometimes or they even seemed to be scanned from a newspaper, which is a bit of a let down. I had already read "Complete Recording Sessions" from the same author a year ago, so I knew what to expect... But I was a bit disappointed to see that there wasn't any new information apart from the "BBC sessions" album, dating already from 1994. Since this reissue was done in 2006, I expected new infos concerning the Anthology packages or even the "Let It Be-Naked" album... Overall, it is an amazing book but you really need to be interested in its subject because if you just like those Beatles songs without any wish to learn more, you'll be bored to death reading it! And if you thought to learn more about their personnal lives, don't bother at all buying this book! Harcore fan are you? Then grab it while it's still available because you'll regret it if you don't! Might I suggest to listen to a few bootlegs while reading it just for a total experience!
