A concise introduction to the notion of phases of life: This is a concise and very useful introduction to the notion of the biological, psychological, and spiritual phases of life. The treatement is literate and learned and the author provides a useful review of the key ideas of some of the major thinkers, ancient and modern in this area of thinking about life. It is especially useful for an introduction and overview because he has accomplished these things with concision. But it is writen to an educated audience which will not be reading about psychoanalysis, empiricism, behaviorism, and so on for the first time. The only reason I gave this book a four vice five star rating is because the translation from the Dutch is a little lacking in some places.
