[.ca] I'M A Little Teapot (Hc) (ISBN 1879085992)

This is my favorite Iza Trapani book!:
I love the wonderful pictures and the rhyme is so much fun! The pages are sturdy and have been in the hands of my toddler countless times. This and Itsy Bitsy Spider are the only books of this kind that my oldest son can hold the tune to throughout all the verses! "I'm A Little Teapot" will always be my favorite but my kids love "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" the best!

My 2 Year-Old Loves This Book!:
We received this book as a gift and my daughter took to it immediately, which is saying a lot, because she does not get that "into" books. I think she especially likes this one because when I read it to her I can sing the story to "I'm a Little Teapot". I don't think I would have bought this one had I seen it in a store, but I sure and glad we have it!

Misses the essence of the rhyme:
If you, like me, insist on enjoying all your children's books, give this book a miss. The joy of this rhyme is watching the little ones act out the teapot part. Having the teapot fly a kite in china etc... doesnt satisfy. If you want to take your child on an adventure before bed time there are plenty of better books with much better art work.

Iza Trapani has done it again!!!:
This women is amazing!!! I love the way she makes the teapot the main character in the story. Iza Trapani's books have been our all-time favorites. She has a way of taking already wonderful children's songs and making them even more memorable. The theme of the book, is a teapot wanting to share it's dreams with the children (brother and sister). The book takes the chidren on a wonderful, imaginitive, adventure to China, Spain, and even outer space. There's a jungle adventure where the little teapot plays peek-a-boo with the children. My kids like finding the children in the picture (and the other hidden animals from previous verses). The illustration is wonderful. As you can see by the cover, the teapot is drawn with cherub-like soft curvy lines (as are the childern). The finale is adorable. The childern are having tea with their entire family, even the characters from all their teapot adventures (including the alien from outer space!). Can you spot them all? I must also HIGHLY recommend "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

Baby's favorite thing!:
We got a free copy of this book when our daughter was born, and within several months, it was her favorite thing. She loved it to death, so to speak, so we bought her the boardbook version. She's 16 months and version 2 is a casualty of love. I'm about to get yet another copy. While the lyrics lack a bit if you want to teach your child about traveling or the world, the premise of the story is cute, and my child loves to have this sung to her. It is the first thing she picks up every morning. If you have the patience to sing the "I'm a Little Teapot" tune over and over and over again, I would highly recommend this book.
