everything you need to educate yourself: this book is one that i recommend to all my dog friends who struggle with vaccination issues as i have. it is the one book that takes a neutral approach to describing the diseases, how they're contracted, how you treat them, and then goes on to detail what goes into the vaccines and how they work. it gives you the information you need so that YOU can decide which diseases you think are necessary to vaccinate against, and it does so in a neutral way. if you purchase only one book on vaccinations, this is it. my two rescue dogs haven't been vaccinated in two and four years (respectively) and i've had their blood titered for distemper, parvo and rabies...and the vaccines given four years ago are still holding strong. i lost my last dog at 4 1/2 yrs of age to vaccinations. educate yourself on vaccinations...this book makes it easy.
Bad - shouldn't be called a "guide": This book is not a guide as it doesn't guide you to answer the obvious question "if you don't vaccinate, what DO you do??" It discusses all the bad things vaccines do, but gives no solution for protecting your dog against the deadly Distemoer, Parvo and Rabies. Ridiculous.
