Winnipeg Free Press Review: "Instead of just relying on promotional material, Kives appears to have worn out tire rubber and shoe leather getting to know Manitoba's cities, towns, backroads and wilderness areas. And instead of repeating guidebook clichés, Kives uses the same idiosyncratic, opinionated style that he employs in his Offroad columns and in his former gig as pop music writer..." - Bob Armstrong, Winnipeg Free Press
Fantastic guide book!: The Daytripper's Guide to Manitoba is a very informative and well-researched book. I have lived in Manitoba all my life and found this book to be extremely helpful for learning more about things to do across the province. The layout of the book is such that one can read small sections at a time for specific information or whole chapters for an overview. The writing style is entertaining and makes the book a fun read. This book exceeded my expectations - I highly recommend it!
