[.ca] The Pot Smoker and the Dumb Blonde (ISBN 1897207050)

Who Knew The Hero Would Be...:
Where does Chris Lindsay get his ideas? Once again he writes an amazing screenplay that involves many interesting characters and situations. Chris Lindsay has a wickedly intelligent sense of humour and style of writing that makes a statement without it being SOOOOO obvious. For awhile I, personally, looked at oatmeal and other things a little differently after reading this story!

Very funny but also deep:
In this work, I felt, Chris Lindsay has widened his scope. He has gone beyond social concerns; here, he adds the theme of dictatorship and he also talks about Life, Universe and Creation. One can rarely find such a rare mixture of different issues in a single work. Chris Lindsay's art lies in the way he handles such serious themes with a simple funny style. Perhaps that's why readers are never left in any state of boredom or confusion. Chris Lindsay's works bring about a rare experience for the readers cherishing a keen mind: Lips keep smiling, and minds keep thinking ... at the same time.

Out There With A Vengance:
Very comical, humourous with a twist of the absurb! A fun read and lots of cosmic creativity here. I have become a big fan of Hugo, Nurse Jill, and of course MASH.

Funny Book:
Books are always great when you can identify with the characters. What better character to identify with than a pot smoker who develops a love relationship with a beautiful, buxom blonde? Chris Lindsay is at it again with his latest book, The Pot Smoker and the Dumb Blonde. We are reintroduced to Dwight Gune, a devoted pot-smoker who is on a quest to find prescription ganja. Little does he know he is about to stumble upon a situation that involves a transported criminal from another planet, two runaway "doctors", and a slew of brainwashed indentured servants. As difficult as the circumstances may seem, there is always Mary Jane and Nurse Jill to get him through the hard times. Lindsay's play is funny and romantic. Another quick read that you can go to at anytime for a quick smile.

Enron Executives -- Your limo ride to oblivion awaits you.:
Supreme Tyranus Macov is the Anti-Christ of the world. He's dropped off on a penaly colony called earth, after he tried to reign terror with Mother Corpos against the rest of the population on his home world. He sets about devising a plan to conquer earth and create a new Mother Corpos. He recruits a bunch of minions, including a dumb blonde for a nurse, and a pot smoker. Everyone is supposed to work for "peanuts" in sweatshop conditions, and they face eternal damnation if they don't do as Macov commands. Slowly, things start to formulate into a diabolical scheme and Macov feels the power that awaits him. But, things begin to go wrong towards the end, but let's spoil it. Those who are budding writers or movie makers may wish to consider looking at this fictional tale of greed that runs amok. It will give you some good direction. Even executives of corporations like Enron could learn a lesson or two as well.
