Making My Space:
I like the author's use of humor as well as the included lists for organization. It is possible to organize one area at a time. I have read Alexandria Stoddard in the past and like how this author incorporates her ideas especially for the Decompression Chamber. I live in a one room apartment so I can develop my own Cozy Corner. This book is more an advanced course in organization than other books I have used in the past. This previous knowledge is often assumed. The book also has another problem common to books on organization. Many of us rent and for that reason cannot add built-ins to where we live.

I purchased this book as a gift for my wife. She is a fairly well organized person but she said that she needed to be better about certain tasks. So anyway, I gave it to her and she said it was perfect. The fact that she was able to read and zoom in on the relevant chapters to her pleased her to no end. I highly recommend this book. You may be wondering how you will have time to read a book about organizing your home if you have never found time to actually organize it...You do need to find the time, because 'Household Winners for Working Women' is so full of ideas, inspiration and friendly support that you will be anxious to get down to work on your home. I found that the author must have had a peek in all my kitchen cabinets as she accurately described the bud vases and pans with peeling non-stick finishes cluttering the space. Her suggestion to calculate the value of the square footage of your home to determine how much you are paying to store each square foot of your accumulated 'junk' really hits home. Ms Bishop writes in a very readable style and the book is organized in such a way that you can pick it up for a few minutes at a time, or easily sit down and read cover to cover. It may be best to read the book in your home environment, because after a few pages, I found myself itching to get started applying the AZURE system to my problem areas. You won't even want to wait for a rainy day to start organizing - the rewards will come quickly. It is clear that the author, a working mother of 6 children, knows what she is talking about. She speaks as a friend who has 'been there' and knows she can help. Definitely buy this book and take advantage of her experience and guidance.
